Amazing Spiderman #589 finally reminded me why I buy Amazing Spiderman three times a month to begin with.  This issue had everything I like about Spidey: action and humor.
There were a couple other titles I read this week that I could barely stay awake during the process of reading them.  This issue is not one of them.  I would make it my pick of the week right now but I haven’t finished reading everything else I bought from the comic shop this week.
It was very kind of the writers to stray away from a big long never-ending mega-sized plot this week.  I like Spot.  He should be in more of Spidey’s adventures.  He does it for me a whole bunch more then that menace of a character called Menace.  I was so sick of looking at her, plus it was starting to look like they were rushing threw the process of drawing Menace the last few times I saw her. Meh.  How come they can’t make Spot one of those characters you get to read about for a whole year?  The possibilities are endless when you got a guy who can dive through multipal dimensions!  I’ll definitely be looking out for more issues of Amazing Spiderman featuring Spot.  Then again, I still buy Amazing Spiderman every week anyway, so I guess I won’t be looking too hard.
I hope we get to read a few more quick and cool self-contained stories before they start up another one of their yearlong super-sized gotta buy every tie-in and read every back story over again pull every nonsensical character back off the back burner type MEGA plots.  See you next week…
