I’m probably going to make myself unpopular in the iFanboy community by stating that I don’t like Mik McKone art. It seems to me that all his characters look the same. Big and stocky (but not in an Eaglesham way) which is fine in other books but Peter Parker is a thin guy.

Well at least I think of him as a weedy guy. The official handbook of the marvel universe puts him at 160lbs (73kg) and 5’10” (175cm) and that’s my size (and I like to think of myself as fairly slim. But I digress, you see on the final page Peter parker is shown in the unemployment line in sweats, which and I’d have to tell you if that voice bubble wasn’t pointing towards his head I wouldn’t have picked Spidey out of that crowd.

That said, or written as in this case, following Marcos Martin would have been a chore (however McKone is a professional).

And talking about great art, did you see the ad for Phil Jimenez’s return to Amazing Spider-man. I’d have to say I was disappointed by his first run (the first freak storyline- which may have been that he wasn’t given enough room to shine). But boy does he do a great Daredevil!.
