ASM has been on a roll.  Every week it’s been consistently good, and I’ve been enjoying Spider-Man like I never have before outside of the pages of Bendis’ Ultiamte Spider-Man.  I don’t know if they really had to unmarry Peter Parker to get back to these fun stories, or just get away from the Spider-Totem crap that has been the focal point these last few years, but boy whatever they’re doing is working.

Being a near weekly book I don’t have much to say about this issue that I haven’t said before.  My only complaint is that we’re rapidly getting up to what normally would have been a years worth of comics on any other title and I don’t feel like a larger arc has developed.  There have been tidbits of stuff going on in the background, the elections and the JJ Jameson story, but overall Spidey just seems to face another “freak of the (tri)week” and move on.  That’s the way that Stan used to do comics, but even then there seemed to be a little more forward momentum.

Ah heck, who cares?  This is just great a great Spidey story and that’s so much more than we’ve had for a long, long time.
