I’m an 18 year old *ahem* man and I’ve been reading comics for roughly 3 years. When I saw that Marvel was re-releasing the debut of Spider-Man, my favorite superhero, and 2 other stories of course I bought this. The question is does this origin story hold up after all the years? Well yeah, if you can get past all the old school clothing and lingo. I found it oddly funny that calling someone a bookworm was the go to insult during those days. The art was very inconsitent throughout the panels mainly involving Spidey’s mask. I laughed at the page when Spider-Man discovers who killed Uncle Ben and his eyes appear through his mask. The stories in this book aren’t new to me, but they still entertained and I guess that’s all I asked for.
