ALL NIGHTER #3 (OF 5)

Well, I was thinking about dropping this title, but the events in issue number three have changed my mind. The first two issues were used as introductions and nothing was happening, to be honest it was getting a bit boring.
However in this issue creator David Hahn kicks things up a notch, and lays the ground work for what will be an exciting final two issues. This book continues to explore the life challenges of Kit, as she struggles to find her place in the world. She doesn’t seem to fit in with any of her peer groups. David Hahn, places Kit in situations that make you say to yourself, “What is Kit, gonna do?” or “Is Martha super nice, or a psychopath?” and “What will happen when Jim and Donna Met?” This is what I loved about this book, it has created an excitement that leaves the reading really caring about Kit and the choices she will make. The black and white art fit the tone of the book through creepy diner conversations to beautiful outdoor bridge meetings between characters. This is worth the price of admission, and this book should be discussed more, it is something worth reading, you will not be disappointed.

  1. Great review. I was thinking the same thing about the story kind of lagging after #2, but the characters are all so engaging. I am curious when we wil get the true story behind Kit’s Mom. I agree, I have no idea what to make of Martha, but that is part of the fun. It is nice to read books like these. Stories based more on real life situations, minus the matricide, and without the need for crazy out of this world stuff. Oh yeah, and the B&W art is a perfect fit.

    • I am really looking forward to issue four, it will be great, i hope. I agree, I need a break from the main event crazy world flashpoint stuff, and this book provides that real world stuff to enjoy.
