I can't get over how great the different interactions Bendis is creating with the original 5 X-Men. We've seen them fight with there older selves. We've seen Wolverine struggle with seeing Jean again and wanting to kill Scott. Quentin Quire hit on Jean in the Wolverine & the X-Men. Kitty is really stepping up as there mentor. And we haven't even scratched the surface! Will Jean meet Rachel Summers, who is technically her daughter from another dimension? Will we get to see young Hank interact with any of Marvel's other big brains? How are the Avengers going to react? (I think we get to see this one next issue) They could just keep doing talking head scenes with these characters, and I would stay happy forever. This issue focussed on Cyclops interacting with Mystique who is the perfect villain to throw even more confusion into the mix. During her conversation with Scott, she weaves so many half-truths together that I as the reader couldn't always tell when she was lying. Bendis is really pushing the isolation young Scott is going through because of what his older self has done. I wonder how far things will go before we get to see his redemption, and he really step up as a leader again. I think this series has got a lot of momentum behind it, and I can't wait to see where we go from here!
