This is one of those series I pick up based on the fact the writer has been doing really good work on other books, and I keep expecting it to happen here and I keep getting disappointed.

It's the future she comes from, which I think is the problem. Having a future version of a modern character with a twist on her power dynamic sounds great, but every time the word "gynosure" is used, I'm just taken out of the comic and pissed off.

I don't care about this supposed future gender war. It is about as interesting as 60's comics about the future. It's a place is dated and the definition of uninteresting.

On the other hand, the stuff here was pretty cool. I do think we aren't seeing enough action for Noh Varr, so his being the main fight was a cool addition.

The twist at the end was pretty interesting, but I'm not holding out for my overall feelings for the book.
