When I wrote my review for Rick Remender’s first issue on Ghost Rider I was a little critical so I was a tad nervous about him starting on the All New Atom.  However, I can’t even nit pick at this issue.  It was damn good.  The voices of the characters still ring true but there is a very noticable shift to a more serious tone.  Up until this point the book has had a rather goofy side which was admitedly part of its charm but it appears that Remender is planning on realistically (for a comic book) addressing some of the consequences of Ivy Town’s bizarre little quirks.  This book could get real dark, real quick, and you know what?  I’m okay with that.  I’m even kinda looking forward to it.
