Since nobody has bothered to review this book, I will take a short stab at it. The format is much the same as the prior issues – two shorter stories taking place in a Silver Age, altered just enough to seem surrealistic.

The first story evoked DC in general, and Superman in particular, as the Silver Age Sentry met the Golden Age Sentry. Much as in the discontinuity that was (or was not exactly) fixed with the DC crisis books, The Sentries were found to be of parallel universes, with some key similarities and differences (for instance, the Golden Age Sentry used a gun to shoot The Void).

The second story was a cute, tongue-in-cheek, period piece in which the Sentry met the Beatles-meet-Mamas and Papas hit band The Crick-Hits. The surrealism carried even further here, as the leader of the Avengers at the time of the story was the little-known Timely character, The Blonde Phantom.

Good fun in all – and there were allusions suggesting that The Sentry may really be from a parallel universe or some other situation more satisfying than the origin shown to us previously.
