This is a good introductory issue. Necessarily, it delivers a lot of information up front and we have yet to see how this story will evolve from a neat concept into a fully fleshed series. As a so-so fan of the Age of Apocalypse story I was excited to see this plot line again and was relieved that enough had changed from that event that I didn’t have to re-read everything in order to figure out what was going on. Lapham does a good job establishing this world and getting the hooks in. The last page reveal was interesting and unexpected. I’ll be in for at least the first arc.
