I came for Geoff Johns, but I’m staying for Francis Manapaul.

That came out dirtier than it was supposed to.

While the story of Superboy in Adventure Comics #1 (or 504, if you’re like me, and hate renumbering) is top notch, the art is toppier and notchier.  Gorgeously pencilled with textured backgrounds.  The sort of art that would cause me to splurge on a hardcover, rather than just waiting for the paperback version.

I don’t really care about The Legion, so I skipped the cofeature, but it’s the same creative team, so I’m just going to assume it’s awesome if you happen to like the Legion Of Superheroes.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

Comments

  1. No. Go back and read the cofeature. It has Starman being crazy. How can that not be fun?

  2. As well, it seems there is going to be much crossover between the Main feature and Co-feature. Since a random character from the main story makes an (important) appearance in it.
