I have not been a realy big superman fan. I know hes like the archetype of superheroes but I found it hard to pick up a monthly comic where the only villains that can beat him are in a power suit or have some  kryptonite related  powers.  So when  heard about this new direction of having a superman title without superman I found myself buying a superman title for the first time in years.

What keeps me coming back to the title each month is its lead chsaracter, Christopher Kent. After escaping the Phantom Zone and he is trying to prevent any plans his father and mother have for earth. To do this he takes on the mantle of Nightwing with a partner called Flamebird and is in the process of taking down his father, Lord Zods sleeper agents. Whats interesting about him is the many secrets he  has about himself. The fact that he was born in the Phantom zone seem to make him weaker than other kryptonians but he seemed to develop ssome weird powers. He also seems to be growing in an alarming quick rate.  That plus all the family drama that is happenning between chris and his parents make for some great actrion fight scenes.

After two issues Greg Rucka guarantee that i will pick this book up for at least the arc. The writing is great, the art is great and th e character are great

.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
