Well, this title may not have Superman in it anymore, but it still has plenty of ACTION!

Sorry, I know that's cheesy, but I couldn't help myself.  This issue was really fantastic.  While I've enjoyed the Superman titles the past few weeks, they've really just been setup.  It was necessary, but not the most exciting thing to read.  Not so, this week.

Rucka put us right in the middle of the action from the beginning.  That first splash page by Barrows had my jaw dropping.  There were several "What the...?" moments throughout, but by the end we knew what was going on and it all makes sense.  The reveals of Nightwing and Flamebird seemed very appropriate.  I won't spoil that here, but I will say that they both must have been coloring their hair previously.

It seems like the Superman crew is taking every Kryptonian storyline from the Silver age and breathing new life into it.  I love the idea that Nightwing and Flamebird have to take down these Kryptonian sleepers that Zod planted.  And Ursa was a badass already.  She's the one we have the least background on out of the 3 villains from Superman 2, but it looks like she's going to get fleshed out more here.

This was a great week with Walking Dead and GLC out, but this one made me want the next issue the most, so I had to make it my POTW.  Everyone should check this out.
