Shaky though ACTION has been over the last year, Morrison’s long game is starting to come together. This issue starts tying a lot of things together, and in some cases that makes earlier issues, at the time nonsensical, make a bit more sense.

I think it’s difficult to say much about the story without giving away some of its revelations. Regular readers of ACTION COMICS knew something like this had to be coming, but the shape it takes is not what I expected, not exactly. This is one of those issues that won’t work as well for people who haven’t been along for the ride with Morrison for a bit, but for me this is making the series so far pay off, and it gets me excited for what’s to come.

Brad Walker & Rags Morales handle penciling on the main story, and they make this book look about as good as it has since the relaunch.
