  1. I don’t disagree. Superman needs to be out among the people, that being said, he also requires a cast of regular supporting characters. This is what has been missing for the past year and that drives me crazier than “whiney” Superman. I can’t believe that I would long for the days of (I know this name is wrong) Bippo. The guy who opened the bar using the (then) newly unemployed Jimmy Olsen’s dropped lottery ticket.
BTW, the only line better than, “Wait I hear a fire…”, was the line delivered to the onlooker when he asked “Now how am I supposed to compete with that?” The response “This ain’t a competition, now get off your ass”.

  2. Yeah, I guess I haven’t noticed that lack of supporting characters but I do agree with what you say. It’s Bibbo Bibbowski:

  3. I like how it explains how I noticed the odd color Superman Shirts! and I LOVE the new secret identity, This is my POTW for sure!

  4. Yeah! I remember when Bibbo donned the superman sweatshirt and starting fighting criminals in Reign of Superman. It was pretty sweet. However, I think I’m more a fan of his superpowered acquaintances. People like Valor, Eradicator, Cyborg Superman, Orion, Mister Miracle, and the cast of the Cadmus project. He’s had a lot of memorable supporting characters and has mentored almost every other hero, but they insist on cycling through new, forgettable foes on the Superman book.

  5. Well,
I like action much better than Superman except for the bouncing timeline, old outfit, new battle armor, kill Clark, start John Clark, 2 hamsters, organized chaos. Since I’m dumping most of my titles after #12, I’ll know to keep 3 back issues of Action to see how stuff fits, it does come up with some great lines, but as far as character building of the new clark/superman it’s like Morrison is running down hill with a bunch of sharp objects and we’re all waiting to see if he can get there without impailing himself at the bottom. I wish he’d slow down and let us enjoy the ride, but DC wants to sell to an audience that doesn’t care about the story. Soon none of the panels will have words just images & sound effects. It’s sad to see where we’re headed.
