If you wanted to pack a story like Irredeemable or The Mighty into one two hundred page graphic novel, you would hope the result would be something like this.

Here you get the complete story of a man who discovers he has powers and the unexpected places those powers take him, through the eyes of his lifelong friend.  And while there are definitely some Holy Fuck moments, what makes them so impactful is how Arcudi manages to balance the human side of this story with the suprhuman.

Snejbjerg’s art on this is perfect for this story.  It’s clean, simple, and well-lit.  There’s also some of the best use of facial grammar I’ve seen in a comic in quite a while.  This was a very light week of comics, and if you find yourself with some extra cash, and extra time, I highly recommend flipping through this, and seeing if it’s the kind of book you want to add to your shelf.

Story: 5 - Excellent
