This issue dealt with the Hulk. (or did it?). A warrior monk with rage problems trying to find his inner peace is living in seclusion at the top of a mountain. He meets with a mystery traveller and comes down from his meditations to help a village defend itself from a warlord’s army.

The was really nothing Hulk like about this issue. At one point he gets angry, goes on a bit of a rage and kicks some butt….some of the villagers even make reference to him “smashing” things, but really, no Green Monster, no ripped up clothes…saying this had any relation to the Hulk is a big stretch

Part of me wonders if the creators just wanted to tell a samurai story and they were forced to slap superhero names on to the covers in order to sell more units. Its still a fun story, the art is sweet, but the connections to Marvel U characters is incredibly thin.

Story: 3 - Good
