Given that sports manga like Eyeshield 21 and Prince of Tennis have enjoyed a reasonable amount of success here in the U.S. one might think that there was some room for a sports comic on the shelves here in America, but this isn’t it.

In a nutshell, our Spunky Heroine loves tennis, and is attending a private school on a tennis scholarship. BUT, she’s in last place and is in danger of losing her scholarship, her coach is incompetent, and her rival is the richest girl in school and a tennis wiz. So when a guy she’s never heard of (who looks like a child molester) walks up to her on the street and offers to become her new coach, she accepts.

But wait! Spunky Heroine’s new child moles…I mean coach, doesn’t seem to be training her, instead showing up late all the time and giving her a bunch of nonsensical orders. In addition, she’s been told that if she doesn’t win her next match she’ll be thrown out of school!

Will her new coach turn out to be some kind of genius trainer? Will she….

You know what? F@#k it. This is the kind of crap that gives animanga such a bad name. The only positive thing I can say about 15 Love is that the art is good, but the story is such cliche garbage that even if it had been done by Kia Asamiya I couldn’t recommend this comic. Just stay away.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 3 - Good
