  1. I was fortunate enough to see a screening of this a wee while back and I LOVED it, I was giggling the whole way through.

You guys mentioned the Batman 89 line (“You wanna get nuts?”), which was followed up shortly after by a Dark Knight Returns line (the one about the operating table…and I’m the surgeon). I was kind of amazed by that, the fact that they were able to comment on the way Batman got “dark” in the mainstream after this TV series, within the context of the movie.

At first, when Aunt Harriet hinted that she knew Dick and Bruce had a secret, I was a little worried it was going to turn into some kind of world-breaking fever dream (a “modern” Batman hallucinating this crazy 60s world, something like that.) Especially when Batman saw the three different Catwoman actresses. Glad they didn’t go that way, allowing for some meta commentary on Batman as a whole without destroying the pure joy of this particular interpretation.

    Great show guys!

  2. Commissioner Gordon, to Batman with awe: “…You paladin of virtue!”

This animated movie rocked. What a pleasant gift to fans of the original series. And I so enjoyed Wally Wingert’s Gorshin imitation (NOT an easy thing to pull off) that I had to stop the movie to research the man’s entire voice-acting career lol

Am eagerly looking forward to the sequel. Genius hams Shatner & West together for the first time?? Count me in!
