  1. Hey
The film hasent came out on dvd yet in the uk.
    Is the film any good.
I will watch the podcast later but want to avoid spoilers.
    Thanks

  2. I had the same positive reaction you guys did. Didn’t know what to expect and was soon captivated, loved how this movie kept shifting back and forth from batshit crazy to straight drama, and loved the gorgeous aesthetics and fun tone. Parts even felt Tarantino-ish, I daresay, in their loving, passionate homages to classic forms of storytelling (in this case, anime). Big thumbs up from me.

As per your in-episode query, “Batman: Ninja” did indeed get a theatrical screening at this past WonderCon, and the crowd went nuts for it. I’d been wondering if that may have inflated my opinion of this movie because I’ve been reading so many lukewarm and disappointed reviews of it, but hearing you three praise it has now helped settle it for me. I think a lot of fans may have been expecting something like ‘Batman meets The Hand’ (especially lots of fans who’ve been watching Netflix’s Daredevil) so when they got a less than serious take on ninjacana (is that a word?), it bummed them out. Oh well.
