Like the Chicago Bulls in the 90s, we’ve got a Pick of the Week three-peat, and it’s all about the lifeless Sentry corpse. There were laughs, and one stinker of a book, but Josh is back and it’s full steam ahead with the bonus of extra Patron powers. Bear with us on the steak thing.

  1. Never a fan of people complaining about a book they only bothered to read 1/4 of. Especially when it’s various artists and writers essentially giving you a preview of their upcoming books. I thought a lot of the new DC stuff looked very interesting.

  2. Remember when DC botched the return of Milestone by making it digital only and didn’t promote it well during Black History Month? Good times. I completely missed the fact that it came out on February 26th which was a Friday. Then on March 2nd, the new comics dropped including Infinite Frontier #0. I don’t understand how that happens since it just got buried. That is genuinely unacceptable and DC should have put it out on a Tuesday and promoted the heck out of it. It shouldn’t be within a few days of Infinite Frontier on a Friday.

  3. Infinite Frontier is really a story that is post Dark Knights Metal and not post Future State which is not great. Elements of Future State are being used to justify its existence and it looks like they are building to certain moments in Future State. Keeping Wonder Girl by Joelle Jones makes sense and I get letting John Ridley do more with the Next Batman since he was supposed to take over Batman at 101. If Bendis really makes the character Shazadam going forward, what an awful decision in a long series of awful decisions he has made since writing for DC. It’s like in his Young Justice run where characters made fun of Drake’s brown suit. If you know it’s bad, then why are you doing it in the first place? It comes across as incompetent and being meta for no reason l. I don’t understand it at all. There is only one main continuity comic from DC that I am looking forward to which is Nightwing by Tom Taylor. That’s honestly it. Everything else? Nope. Maybe Bendis on Justice League can recapture some magic, but other than Batman Universe, he has done very poorly at DC.
