  1. Peter Tomasi and Doug Mahnke are the team taking over Detective Comics with issue 994 which is why there have been short runs with Bryan Hill and now James Robinson. I really did not like how Bryan Hill wrote Barbara where she was treated like a rookie and then ignored in 987. I thought she was portrayed really poorly and it was clear to me that the story changed a lot when a battle with Brainiac was promoted so much. The Brainiac Files get mentioned once otherwise it did not matter so I’m wondering what the original story was and it was obvious that it was leading to the Outsiders, but it could have been better. The Signal is a terrible super hero name and it was over explained.

Old Man Hawkeye continues to be great, but Black Hammer: Age of Doom is my pick of the week. That reveal was fantastic and I need to read the next issue as soon as possible where it’s just a great series.

  2. Black Hammer is a consistently great book (as are the related Lemire-Verse series), but this month’s issue gave a big leap forward, plot-wise. Looking forward to getting some answers next issue.

  3. I’m new to these-here internet parts. Can someone direct me to where folks vote for the patron pick? Much obliged!

  4. Conner you mentioned that all the revision3 shows had been pulled, that sucks. I came across them a few months ago on archive.org episodes 1-182 were all there. I think they still are.

  5. Most of the’Nam is available on Marvel Unlimited. They have 59 of the 84 issues up at the moment.

  6. Idk if you guys check these this late but, as a diehard Gwenpool fan, I just wanted to clear a little up. She’s not an alternate universe Deadpool, she’s a character from our universe named Gwen Poole who got dropped into 616. She’s a longtime comic fan so she knows everything about all the characters and events. She also developed the power to move between panels and do some fun other fun meta stuff but that seems to be toned down in the new series. No hate or anything, just wanted to clear that up.

Here’s an example of her in the gutterspace using her powers: https://retconpunchdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2017/07/gwengod.jpg
