  1. I’m not reading the Terrifics but as far as I know it’s Phantom Lady, a really obscure Golden Age DC character. Also, Evan Doc Shaner will be taking over the series from issue 4. He was supposed to do it from the beginning but he couldn’t manage to do the first three issues on time for personal reasons, apparently. I may well take a look at it in trade.

As always, nice to have Ryan filling in.

  2. Avatar photo filippod (@filippodee) says:

On one side I am disappointed that artist on most of these “New Era” titles are changing after a few issues like any other title – despite DC’s fanfare on these titles being artist-centric and “illustrated by DC’s Master Class of artists”.

On the other…. Doc Shaner… Yay!

    • That’s a great point. It’s hard to have this artist focused line of books when a lot of them can’t do more than a few issues. Kind of undermines the whole concept.

    • On the other hand, this was planned in advance for the Terrifics. They could always have waited for Doc Shaner to do the first three issues but, despite their radically different styles, it’s hard to complain about Reis as a lead-in artist.
