Pretty poor week, I must say. I think thing I’ most looking forward to is Green Arrow. I’ve already read Thunderbolts and Runaways, both were a little underwhelming. Man, I hate Penance as a character. Its such a crappy 80s throwback idea; it’s the kinda thing that would work tounge in cheek in a book like X-Statix, but the fact that they are playing it straight is just stupid.

I might start picking up Thunderbolts regularly. I like the title and I bought the CW tie-ins, but I’m planning on cutting down my spending after Civil War ends. So, it may be relegated to downloading or trades.
But yeah, even if I buy all this stuff it’s gonna be a really light week…unless I pick up some the trades that have just come out.

Looks like a slow week for most everybody, so if you’re looking for a title to try out, allow me to recommend Blade. Don’t let the fact that it’s purportedly a CW Casualties of Continuity tie-in deter you: this has been a surprisingly fun series. Done-in-one stories, great art from Chaykin. Marc Guggenheim (that everybody loved on Wolverine) is writing the heck out of it: he’s definitely one to watch. He’s taking over Flash in a couple months, which could be enough for me to give that a try, too.

Small week. Maybe I’ll get Wolverine Origins as well. But the whole “Son of Wolverine” storyline makes me feel uneasy. I am going to find JSA #1 and read it again before I read #2.
I was hyped up for Thunderbolts because of the Suicide Squad-ish plot, but Frontline #10 put a damper on that. The whole Penance thing is so bad, it might actually be fun to read. Let’s hope they explain how he sees out of that helmet.
Well, this week is the one where I catch up on almost everything since Thanksgiving. Ho boy.

I’ll take an iPhone over a PS3 any day. The keynote and the demo videos on Apple’s site are incredible. If that touch-screen is as good as they are saying it should sell like hotcakes, even with the $499/$599 pricetag. Now I just have to figure out how to get out of my T-Mobile contract by June…
The iphone looks cool, but until durability/stability questions are answered I’ll stick with my Treo.
The feelings evoked by Daniel Way on iFanboy are roughly equivalent to the feelings evoked in me by Apple. I don’t know what else to say; their marketing and self-cultivated corporate image offend me on some primal level. I think using John Hodgman against me was when they crossed the Rubicon. That, and I have friends who talk to me about their iBooks in a way that makes me say, “You are not this excited about your actual religion. And if I were talking this way to you about Jesus, actually, you’d fake call waiting and never return my calls again.”
