Marvel Comics made a big splash before the San Diego Comic-Con with their announcement of the line wide relaunch, dubbed Marvel Now! We caught up with Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada to talk about the state of Marvel and the state of comics and how he sees his place in it and the importance of Marvel NOW!
Then we have an extended conversation with Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief, Axel Alonso, about some of the details of Marvel NOW! What went into the planning and orchestration of the move and what fans can expect. We get some added information about what to expect from Uncanny Avengers and possibly what books won’t be relaunching this fall.

I’ve always thought Joe Q. was a windbag. But I’ve always enjoyed hearing Alonso talk about comics. Especially since he’s taken over. He’s not the funniest man alive, but he genuinely loves the industry, and he talks about it eloquently. This is the first thing since the original announcement that got me a little bit more excited. Good interviews, Ron.
Joe Quesada; CCO of charisma.
I wonder what comic Alonso was talking about, where he talked the writer into it, interestin’.
That said, I may be off of X-Men for quiiiite a while, that Pleasantville time travel pitch from Bendis just does not appeal to me at all.
