  1. Not even Cats!?!

  2. No need to justify why you slept on Injustice.
Tom Taylor constructed a Very strong arc across the series.
It’s just as good as DCeased you can tell yourself you don’t need to read it, but don’t invent reasons to do it.

  3. If the fellas like Matt Gorleys work this is a great addition…..

  4. Thanks for another wonderful wrap-up. Healthy New Year!

  5. Conor, if you like Chernow’s writing, I strongly recommend his recent book on Grant. He does a great job balancing the war years with his presidency, his narrative goes a long way in rehabilitating our image of Grant’s presidency (he was a lot better than most historians give him credit for), and it really shows the roots of post-Civil War racism and what might have been had Republicans fought harder for Reconstruction.

Also, did “Good Place” end late last year or early this year? I’m surprised it didn’t make the list unless it was not over this year, the finale was so strong.

    • I’ve got GRANT on my to-read stack!

THE GOOD PLACE ended in 2020 but I so utterly loathed the final episode. I can’t recall a show I loved as much having a finale that I hated as much. For me, the second-to-last episode was the perfect finale.

  6. My barrier to entry for Apple TV plus is availability of the app. All other streaming apps I want are available through my current home theater setup. I don’t want to have to use a firestick or roku just so I can use that one app, But yeah, at $5 a month I would almost certainly subscribe at least for a while.
