  1. I just can’t get enough. But this will suffice.

    THANKS PAUL!

  2. A pick of the week that fires on all cylinders.

  3. Thank you guys for putting yourselves through torture to give us this week’s podcast.

Now I know one thing I will NOT be doing in the near future; and that’s starting my own comics website that forces me to go to cons and talk and talk and talk until my voice is in ribbons.

    Also, THANKS PAUL!

  4. In the airport waiting for my return flight. I’m exhausted and I’m just a fan. I can only imagine how you guys feel…

Thanks for the hard work covering panels I missed.

I’ll listen to this when I pick up my books and read them… On Tuesday, unfortunately.

  5. i wonder if you have ever had anything positive to say about transformers, this was actually quite a good issue you die hard team GI Joe guys you. the story finally has the feel of going somewhere but other than that throwaway it was a tough week to find books

  6. I like how they sound like they have been though hell when in reality they have been standing in a big room

  7. great episode you guys

    oh and

@Ron, The Spot has been around since 1984. i tried to make that as not snarky as possible, love you guys

  8. @edward  My version of Hell basically is standing in a big room, surrounded by people I don’t like. That is worse to me than being burned.

  9. Their voices sound like that b/c they talked all day and drank all night.
All in all not such a bad way to work a job.

  10. Hey nice meeting you guys at SDCC. Don’t know how you found timw to put out a podcast, after seeing guys all around the Gaslamp.

  11. @edward If SDCC is anything like NYCC then they spend most of their time running around with heavy equipment interviewing everyone they can get ahold of. I get tired just thinking about it.

  13. @stuclach  isn’t that just called a job?

  14. @edward  How many hours do you work in a day in your job? I’ve seen the guys working at NYCC and its seriously 18 hour days non stop.

  15. if my job was to read and work with comics I would put in a few extra hours too.
they work hard but they are aso doing somrthing they love.

  16. @JFernandes  thanks for the shownotes!!

  17. How long has Gordon the intern been an intern?

  18. We put in a lot of effort and sacrifice to get to the point where we can do this as a living. A job being fun (at times) doesn’t preclude it from being challenging, hard, or draining. Comics or not, it isn’t easy, and I’d hope people respect that.

  19. @edward  Some jobs are harder than others.

  20. I never expected to see that you three would do the POW this week, thought for sure it would be 3 guest hosts. Thanks for taking the time to get this out, now sleep ’till Wednesday

  21. Josh- I think it’s pretty obvious from the praise and compliments from people week after week
that most people understand it takes a lot of work and deadication to produce this site.
That being said you have mentioned a number of times how you hated the job you had before this
how soul sucking it was.  Now imagine if you were still going to that everyday day in day out and someone online was (half jokingly) complaining about what a tough week it was b/c Too many good comic books came out they had to read or how tired they were from interviewing and drinking with their favorite author’s and artists.
You might occasionally think- what is that guy complaining about.

Now- I personally don’t think ifanboy is whining about anything- but I think it’s a valid perspective- even if there;s a lot of hard work involved you are still very lucky to be doing it and I am sure all involved realize that.

  22. mighty impressive to do a POW podcast during SDCC don’t think i was expecting that….you guys are a machine!

  23. Nice one chaps, it’s aprpeciated.

  24. Guys, thanks for taking time to give us a podcast this week. Good stuff.

Completely agree on Daredevil as POTW. Can’t add much to your discussion. It was a big surprise and hands down my favorite book.

Completely disagree on the Green Lantern: Aftermath brush off. I couldn’t help but chuckle when I heard it compared to Ultimate Fallout #2. Totally different books. GL Aftermath is much more than griping about the events of the War. The Corps is in chaos, raw emotion has consumed everyone including the Guardians, and there’s more here that I’ll skip in interest of not spoiling it.

  25. Yeah ultimate fall out isnt a neccesary book, but its far less masturbatory than that BS superman story where he wants to quit being superman and that mook tells him how important he is.

    BLECH!
