Pick of the Week Podcast

Pick of the Week #291 – Scalped #50

Show Notes

Conor Kilpatrick got taken by the law once more, so iFanboy stalwart Paul Montgomery joins Ron Richards and Josh Flanagan, and we almost do a show about robots. In the absence of that, a challenge is issued at the last moment. Will you heed the call? Also, comics.

  1. Hey, a Who cover! Personally, I would rather have heard a snippet from The Who’s awesome Rock and Roll Cicus performance of that song. Still, I’m very much looking forward to this show. Here’s hoping you don’t spoil anything about Scalped 50 for us trade buyers.

  2. Just a quick catch on the small error in show notes

00:25:26 – Flashpoint: Green Arrow Industries #1  with
    00:27:55 – Flashpoint: Hal Jordan #1

  3. jeez, come on, guys

  4. @OwlyFan  Thanks.

  5. Can’t wait to check this out after the Incubus livestream is over:

  6. Yeah for a Green Day song! 🙂

  7. Another great podcast. I can always say this about you guys, while I often don’t agree with your Picks of the week, you always make strong, compelling arguments for them. great job this week.

  8. Aye, I need to just change my name on here.
    And proofread better.

@NawidA  Apologies for the pronunciation error. In the script, only the N was in caps, so I read it as one word.

  10. Does anyone else think that Paul sounds like the oldest daughter, Tina, from Bob’s Burgers? Tina is voiced by a male voice actor…

  11. Green Lantern Alf would be amazing. I think Paul Needs to pitch that immediately. Woulda been an amazing Flashpoint tie in!

(sorry for accidently posting that in the review instead of the podcast)

@dgazzuolo  I just listened to a few clips. That does sound a bit like me!

  13. @PaulMontgomery  Haha. Awesome.

  14. Just as an FYI, the guy in Project Superman is getting his powers from Doomsday, aka Project 6.  You need to have read the Booster issues to understand that, though.  It should have been made clearer in this issue on it’s own.  Once you see that the story clicks a bit better.

  15. I don’t know how it would be possible for something so big to happen in ACC and it not coincide with the 616
