  1. I would love for Animal Man do a Daredevil-like change. Same with Batman.

No more 13 issue arcs. Two issue stories and more swashbuckling and less darkness.

    • Walking Dead needs a tone change.

I think what you’re looking for is ‘Afterlife with Archie.’ I know I’ll be buying that & I quit reading WD a while back.

    • I would hate for Batman to loose its darkness. To be honest, Batman cannot be dark enough for me. He just works better that way. But hey, I am also one of the few people who was initially turned off by the lighter tone in Waids Daredevil. Dn’t get me wrong, now I really like the series, but it took me a long while to get there and I have to admit that I still think the dark tone of Bendis’ run was much better for the character.

  2. I really enjoyed this podcast guys. I love it when you guys do the bell segments it reminds me of PTI. I know I’ve probably said that before but I still like the Bell.

  3. Cooke and Perez were both good suggestions from Josh in regards comics artists with a great line. I think the obvious one that was ommitted is Herge the creator of Tintin. His style is called “line clair” and it’s one of the most distinctive line styles in comics. Seeing as he’s a mainly European comics legend he mightn’t be as popular in the US so you guys may not be as familiar with his work.

The other artist that comes to mind is Jeff Smith. He’s an artist who’s work is stronger in black and white and his line use really guides your eye through the page and panel like no one else.

  4. Hawkeye #11 will most likely win the Eisner for best single issue this year. Surprised that wasn’t the pick of the week. Shocked that your review was ho-hum on it.

    • I completely agreed with their assessment of it. It was incredibly hyped as well which didn’t help it either. Fun but nothing that hasn’t been done before better.

  5. The Bell…Sh*t’s real now.

  6. I love The Bell-can’t wait to listen to this episode.

  7. I’m glad that there are other soldiers against the word overrated being abused and overused.

“Superman is a citizen of the world” How often does he actually travel to other parts of the world? He saves the world numerous times, but he doesn’t have to actually travel far to do it.
