  1. If anyone out there thinks Marvel never tries anything new, and hasn’t tried this book… I believe you’re doing it wrong. Si Spurrier has done more cool things with Legion than any other writer in the character’s 25+ years.

And this book is really delivering on the whole “Marvel Now trade dress will allow for more interesting cover design” thing.

    • AGREED! Such a cool, fresh perspective on the X books. Ive been excited every week and it has delivered every time. Plus, some of the best covers of any new Marvel book. For $2.99 I would think more people would be reading this title. Last issue was really good too, with the whole “father’s shadow” vibe. I hope it carries into this issue. Seems like Legion is starting to come into his own; let’s see what he can do with some confidence.

  2. First comic read out of my stack and I have to say this title blows me away. I think Si Spurrier is an enormous talent with such a knack for dialogue and just whacked out but awesome ideas.

  3. More people need to give this book a shot. It’s not your normal Marvel book, much less your normal X-Men book. This has been such a great surprise. Looking at my list, this will definitely be the first thing I read.

  4. This takes over as my favorite X title from Uncanny X-force after the Remender run.

  5. Whoa! Man, was this loaded. Great character bits, fleshing out a character I know nothing about, and a crazy twist I *should* have seen coming but didn’t.

  6. This was excellent! Excellent layouts, interesting sub story, unexpected twist. What is that “personality” in his qortex that wants him dead? Is it self-doubt, fear, insecurity, is it somehow working with Luca?? Any ideas? I really wish I had the next issue in my hands right now.

    • I think it’s something related to Professor X. I need to re-read, but I feel like it showed up the moment Charles died. It could just be a manifestation of David’s insecurity toward living up to his father’s legacy, or it could be a more tangible (for lack of a better word) part of Charles’ mind itself.

I don’t think either book is headed this direction, but how great would it be for Legion to be the one who stops the Red Skull and retrieves Xavier’s brain?

    • Wow! That would be WILD! I can see him and Cap together pissing each other off. That’s funny. On another note, you may be onto something. For all we know Professor X may have put some sort of safeguard into his sons mind to keep him in check in case of his death. Something else to pay attention to. Thanks!
