  1. And so the problem that plagues these big cross-overs comes squarely into view, the post-crossover wrap up that comes out before the final issue of the crossover and starts to chip away at the suspense of the finale. I guess we can all assume these two make it out alive.

    • Well, one of eight billion problems.

    • I think it’s more of a problem with the way publishers have to market books in an age when we’re all reading the solicitations three months before the books come out.

Sure, it wouldn’t change the fact that a post-event comic might come out before the event ends, but we as readers wouldn’t notice it so easily.

In any case, Rogue’s survival was “spoiled” as soon Uncanny Avengers was announced, so that’s not a big deal. Knowing Magneto survives AVX might diminish some suspense, but I can’t imagine Marvel removing both Xavier AND Magneto from the board at the same time.

Actually, now that I type that, it sure would signal a bold move for the X-Franchise, wouldn’t it? 😉

  2. Looking at the ratings maybe I’m completely wrong and nostalgic but I loved this issue. Had meaning and nice one shot story with two of my favorite X-Men and moved the overall story along. Really going to miss Christos Gage on this book and considering this is the book that got me into comics a little sad that it’s “ending”
