  1. I’ll give the story arc at least one issue. I may pick up the New Mutants issue if this grabs me.

  2. I’m jumping back onto this title for this storyline it seems really interesting & I’m a sucker for alternate realities

  3. Hopefully this is actually the start of a story rather than an odd anthology issue. Start with your strongest stuff, Mike! OK, the Basilisk intro was strong… but the rest?

  4. Clay Mann being on this provides a strong case for me to follow this, will give it a shot for at least one issue as well.

  5. I just want more basilisk and i want to see some unbridaled Magneto pwnage!!

  6. ^^ i’m 21… i can still say “pwnage” right?

Ya know what? If i have to ask, i think i know the answer. *forshame*

  7. Have i ever told you about alternate reality edward? we’re pretty similar but he just dresses way funkier

  8. @oopsxlandmine  don’t wanna age myself, but da hell’s “pwnage”?  I refuse to grow up.

@edward  hahah, gotta give him an Age of X name though.

  9. A grand experiment…where I only buy this book while it’s in a crossover…I’m excited to try this.

  10. @Franktiger.. its a gaming term, i believe. see “ownage.” As in: someone on Marvel vs Capcom gets K.O.’d and the victor yells “PWNED!” (pronounce like owned + p at the beginning.) Same rules apply to pwnage.

  11. Had a lot of fun with this. Far better than the one-shot.

  12. I’m going to keep picking up this book out of curiousity more than enjoyment. It’s ok, I just feel like I’m missing something, which I know is how he wants it to feel. The whole thrown in the middle without explanation is not working for me.

  13. The way that this is going, I’m glad I picked up the Alpha issue and gave this issue a shot even though I was underwhelmed by said Alpha issue. It gave enough backround for this to jump right into the story without a lot of recap. Enjoyed the first two parts of this enough to stick with it until the end.

  14. I bought the alpha issue for background on Scott as Basilisk and to see new Holy-clad Magneto in action. I got both, so i love it. But they need to answer a TON of questions over the next few “chapters” or i won’t be stickin’ around.

  15. This crossover seems to be all about alternate characterizations of the x-men, and Carey’s character work has always been brilliant.. count me in.
Hmm.. Wonder if any characters or plots crossover into continuity after this…?

  16. surprisingly good. i didn’t know who half the characters were but i still dug it. I’m a fan of the post-acopolypic genre.

and the art was fantastic. I love it when an artist can actually draw the character with a comtempary look. these people are superheroes, they should be sexy and cool.

  17. This wasn’t very good to me at all. It required an encyclopedic knowledge of mutantkind and the characters I did know didn’t act like themselves at all. I mean, Kitty is one of the most dangerous mutants ever? No, no she’s not.

  18. Much better than the Alpha. Clearly this should have been the opener with the Anthology issue following to fill in some of the holes.

@minion Just because she doesn’t use her power malevolently, doesn’t mean she couldn’t. She is almost invulnerable when phased, if she passes through any electronics she destroys them, and she can phase other objects, even ones of immense size and mass if she pushes hereself to her limits. Big deal? Imagine what she could do to buildings filled with people or just to any one with a crowbar that she just let’s go of. Now I suspect she is actually “dangerous” because she knows something Magneto doesn’t want her to tell, but time will tell on that one.
