Think you know everything there is to know about the original X-Men? Think again! Something happened to Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel, Iceman and Professor X years ago, a secret so horrible that it has been locked away in the dark corner of Cyclops’ mind until today. Taking the lead for a few issues is famed X-Men writer CHRIS YOST (X-FORCE) and with all this danger, he’s lucky to have regular X-MEN artist PACO MEDINA and DALIBOR TALAJIC (PUNISHER) along for the ride.

  1. I don’t know what is going on here, one assumes Jean has not made a sneaky return, but I am intrigued to see the old band back together…

  2. Bah! So many interesting things coming out this week. I’ll make the choice at the shop.

  3. This looks like an exercise in retconning, having Cyclops remember an event that never happened in the first place, until now.

  4. Does anyone know if this is still leading up to the next arc in X-Men?

  5. Um…sure, why not. I was a decent enough fan of X-Force and Yost’s run on New X-Men, so I’m kinda interested in his story. I’m also a bit interested in the whole lost original X-Men adventure thing that’s going on here.

  6. Interesting beginning but I’m not sure I’ll follow it.

  7. This was alot better than I expected, certainly had that Deadly Genesis vibe, done well too. I wonder will this lead into Schism?

  8. I could have done without this book.  There was no reason beside $ that this couldn’t have happened in the series.  I guess I’ll never learn.

  9. Ive come to realize I HATE Utopia. Like Iceman said, all that happens is Utopia get attacked by villains X Y and Z. Having said this, I like Yost on the X-Men, always have, and the stuff with the original team was GREAT! id totally be cool if they moved back to Westchester now.

  10. Maybe I’m just a sucker for the orginal team but I loved this issue even though Scott seemed to be more like his present self than how he was then.
