X-FACTOR FOREVER #2

Enslavement. Torture. Annihilation. Apocalypse looked into the future of mutantkind and, foreseeing disaster, enacted an end-game to save the children of the atom from the hatred of their less-gifted but more numerous brethren. But his plan to create a burgeoning mutant population has backfired disastrously. When a Celestial arrives to stand judgment on humanity, will X-Factor and their sworn enemy be forced to work together to assure humanity’s salvation? Find out as beloved X-Factor creator Louise Simonson and fan-favorite Dan Panosian continue to deliver the twists in this FOREVER epic!

  1. I really enjoyed the first issue of this.  Panosians art is just great.

  2. Liked the first issue, but it got bogged down in all the constant explanation. I know this is a throwback, but it was bit much even still. Hopefully we have gotten that out of the way and the story can roll on form here…

  3. This book’s wordiness stands out to me. I think comic writers have come a long way in just the last ten years, learning to wring a lot more momentum and implication out of fewer words and to work more closely with their artists to tell a compelling story. I love this book, partly because it reminds me of "the good ol’ days" with the original X-Factor lineup, partly because Simonson and Panosian are both rockstars, but it’s a funny reminder of how ham-handed comics used to be. (Also digging the Apocalypse origin back-up.)
