I hope this arc is better than the last. I love Marjorie Liu and have all the confidence in the world.

Would also love to see Kidon Nixon and NYX make an appearance soon.
So it was just announced that issue 20 is more than likely the last issue. It kind of makes me sad. This was a surprisingly great series since the start. Going to miss it

oh man. im devastated. This really pisses me off. I look forward to 2 maybe 3 marvel books all month and this was one of them 🙁
Just kills me how they can kill this book and keep crap like daken, and 6 other x-books going.
Marvel is making it easier and easier to jump the dc bandwagon for me.
I hope Marjorie Lui gets another good book to write. I’d love to see her take over the new female Ghost Rider.
It still sucks but I get to at least see some more of X in Avengers Academy. Hopefully she stays for a long time!
Also, the Adventures in Babysitting style cover is probably one of my favorites of the week
I don’t read much marvel, and I’ve never picked up this book, but you are so right about the cover. I think I may have to read this book just to find out how the girl gets the Thor helmet, if nothing else.
I’ll be sorry to see this end, and I hope the creators much success in their future endeavors.
such a drop off in the art from noto to this, it really hurt the story for me, which is a fun premiss.
No, just no. Sana takeda’s work is amazing. Head a shoulders above Noto.
I prefer Takeda’s art as well. This was a fantastic issue overall, lots of fun. Makes this weeks news even harder to stomach.
I’m with you. Noto was way better, makes this one kind of distracting because it’s not Noto.
Damn, the news of this book canceling certainly is shocking. The recent interviews with Liu gave no indication of such, as she had plans set for X well into 2012. So this has to have been a last minute cancel. X, is a compelling character and Liu was handling her with fantastically. Hopefully there will be strings of mini-series in place.
It’s sad to see this is being cancelled. Sure my wallet is happy to be saving $4 a month, but I really love X-23 and Gambit was such a good supporting role for this book. Here’s to hoping she appears more often in Avenger’s Academy.
As for this issue, well it should be entertaining that’s for sure. I love the cover and how it associates with the title (I especially love Val’s Thor helmet, lol). Viva la 80s movies!
