Still really enjoying this. I will have to check out Phil Hester’s other work when I get a chance.
Last page of last issue got me hyped for this!
I do think Hester is finally get his feet under him. What a mess to force that transition mid-epic story.
This has built into something pretty impressive since Hester came on. Maybe he’ll be given the book to run with?
@markish I’d be into that but runor is he’s off after 612.
Just when I thought I was out….they pulled me back in!
Dropped this a while back but last months previews looked so good I went back and pulled the ones I missed. Looking forward to seeing how things turn out.
I’d really like them to see where they can take this after 612, but I have this nagging feeling they’ll revert back to the status quo… I REALLY want to be excited about where this goes…
According to solicits, the storyline is getting extended past 612 for two more issues. Hester is writing 613, and I would presume he’d be writing 614 as well. As far as what happens after that? Anyone’s guess.
This was a good week for DC in my stack. Another great issue. I like the way that Hester made the alternate reality make sense.
@JimBilly4
I agree. I dont’ understand how JMS is getting a co-writing credit. I’m not even sure how much he is contributing. But Hester has picked it up and made it a great story-line again. I liked this issue and last. They both started driving at the core that was missing the few issues before during the transition.
@tboes JMS will get co-writing credit for the rest of the arc. Pretty sure he had written the rough outline before he left. Hester will be using the end point JMS wanted but getting there his own way I’d suspect.
love this arc. cannot wait to read this issue. plus, they printed my email in the letter column! D. Miller. Redondo Beach!
Sweet ending! This is very good comics! Go Hester!
