  1. These dudes both stayed on this book for almost two years?

Added to the lifetime library list.

    • Azzarello: Yes, he’s written every issue since September 2011.
Chiang: He’s considered the regular artist, and I’m very happy to see his work, but. he’s had lots of assistance from Tony Akins and Goran Sudzuka. However, they are very capable and complement Chiang’s work very well, so it hasn’t been a problem.

This is the only DC book I’m still reading, and I’m still enjoying each issue when I read it, Wonder Woman has become an “out of sight, out of mind” book, and I come close to dropping it when I assess my pull list on the weeks it’s not shipping.

When Azzarello leaves, I think I will too.

    • Oof, I swear I proofread that. $%&!@# Monday.

  2. Awesome, bring on the New Gods! I love the Soviet era propaganda poster style of this cover, the Highfather is Lenin.

  3. Aside from Darwyn Cooke, Cliff Chiang draws one of the best Wonder Woman.

  4. Avatar photo consafo80 (@consafo80) says:

looking forward to this love anything fourth world related.

  5. I like how this has come together.

  6. this has been good for the whole run, but last issue was really good. Chiang’s art looked more polished than it had.

  7. This was a really strong issue. I liked how Azzarello used this issue to deepen Orion’s character; I’ve never found him as interesting as I did reading this. Also, the art was simply amazing. The fill-in issues were worth it to give Chiang time to do this issue completely . . .

  8. Nearly two years in, this title has proven to be consistently the best of the ‘New 52’ including subsequent phases.

I suspect that Brian Azzarello’s ability to keep DC Editorial at bay has an awful lot to do with this success.

  9. BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

    …potw
    🙂

  10. Just another perfect issue of Wonder Woman. What else is new?
