some mignola series are just a bit bland. not bad though. i feel like that about this one

I keep telling myself, “don’t buy this”. But I always do and it’s always great.
John Severin is 89! Stylistically, the art is of an older era, but you certainly wouldn’t know it by execution. Issue 1 was a really beautiful book. My shop either got shorted or sold out, so I have to scramble to get #2. I put it on my sub list, so I shouldn’t miss any more.
Here is a quarter Mr. Severin. Go get yourself a bottle of coke for this fine comicbook work. With the left over change, please grab me some smokes on the way back.
