  1. can’t wait! If it’s half as entertaining as issue one it’ll be a swell ride.

  2. I grabbed issue one on a whim because I’m a big Brubaker fan, though I’ve never read any of his Cap run, but had heard it was more akin to his noir stuff [Criminal etc] and enjoyed it a bunch. Here’s to hoping issue two is just as fun.

  3. I think the two of them together makes this book work really well. Spy noir sex and violence twice this month? YES!!

  4. I plan to read this on Wednesday. Can’t wait.

  5. I loved when the Gorilla came out nowhere last issue.
    Totally unexpected.
Also I hope this gets really popular so that when get a modern Cap+Winter Solider team up story.
Cap will do the shield blocking.
    Bucky will do the shooting.

  6. Everything is better with gorillas. Fact.

  7. Brubabker, Guice, and Breitweister are a GREAT combo. Very excited for issue 2.

  8. The art was MUCH better in this issue. I guess Guice & Breitweiser are getting the balance figured out. Last issue was very murky and the action was hard to follow. This issue there were only a few panels where I got lost and it was Guice’s fault in the illustration and layout. But that’s a minor quibble this issue unlike last time where it was really a problem. Overall I really liked the call backs to the late Sixties Steranko Nicky Fury Agent of Shield. Guice has found a really nice melding of his style and Steranko’s from that period that’s totally appropriate for this spy book. Fury even makes a cameo to gather a bit of intel for Bucky & Natasha’s mission.

  9. I really enjoyed this issue. The story is easy to follow and I like Bucky and Natasha as a team/couple. The Nick Fury cameo was cool too. I’m pretty new to the world of Winter Soldier/Capt.America but so far I am stoked I decided to start picking them up.

  10. Natasha is one of my favorite characters. It’s a shame her series got canned so quickly, but as long as she’s a regular here, I’m okay.

  11. Am I the only one who found trouble understanding some panels?

    • Your not alone.
You really have to stare at Guices art sometimes.
I had trouble seeing what was going on in the panel in the top right corner when Buckys attacking the body guard with the electric baton. (I think he’s breaking his arm?)
I still really enjoyed the issue, and thus the series.
      5/5 in my book.
