VERTIGO RESURRECTED HELLBLAZER #1

Four of the industry’s biggest stars take on John Constantine in two hard-to-find 2-part stories! First up reprints HELLBLAZER #57 and #58 – the long out-of-print tale from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s (PREACHER) character-defining as Constantine and Chas confront some very macabre tests on human cadavers. Next is a story from HELLBLAZER #245 and #246 by new superstars Jason Aaron (SCALPED) and Sean Murphy (JOE THE BARBARIAN) following a doomed documentary crew exploring the mystery behind what happened to Mucous Membrane – Constantine’s former punk band.

  1. So now Vertigo resurrected is bringing out previously published material?! That’s kind of lame.. I thought this line was strictly for previously unpublished work.

  2. Nope. Each Vertigo Resurrected book has included previously published material. If not then it’d be Vertigo Creation.

  3. Love this series. Wish it fit into my budget.

  4. @corpseed From what I understnd it’s previously published but uncollected material.

  5. Glad its a light week for me. I can pick this up.

  6. @Davetron3k  Think of it as buying 4 issues for $8. That’s a pretty good deal. Especially with this pasrticular talent line-up.

  7. @MegaPhilip Oh I definitely think it’s a good value but I’m like a month behing on my comic purchases.

  8. @Davetron3k  Got it. Well for what is’s worth the Ennis Hellblazer story was great, terrific stuff! The Jason Aaron one had some good art from Murphy and some cool moments but the pacing was weird and it had one moment that, for me, was way too over the top horrific. I like Aaron’s rough and gritty stories and Hellblazer gets pretty dark at times, but there’s one sequence that was repulsive in quite a bad way.
