  1. I have the whole run so far and this will be my last issue. Really enjoyed this book and sad to see Remender leave. At least he’s still doing venom in secret avengers. This is my first full run of a comic series! XD

  2. Counterpoint: I’m so happy Remender is finally done with Venom. I feel like he’s been phoning it in since the co-writing credit started several issues back. I really like Cullen Bunn’s The Sixth Gun and look forward to seeing what he can do as his own boss on this title. I loved Remender’s work on Venom, but somewhere back there he just got too busy to give it his best. I blame Marvel for moving a popular writer to more high profile assigments. And that’s fine, but hopefully we can get back to a strong authorial hand on the tiller. I trust in Bunn enough to give him a chance.

  3. I am surprised to see that Bunn had no hand on this book. I will miss Remender and will continue to read his other works. I wish Marvel would have allowed him to keep Venom instead of X-Force or something. But I am excited for the future with Bunn and for Remender to work his magic with Cap.

  4. This issue really does feel like a goodbye from Remender. His story is neatly wrapped up and I’m ready for Bunn to come in and start fresh. So here are a few requests for the new Venom issues. Please have the symbiote take control more often. For a book called Venom, Flash sure does use a gun alot. I can’t remember the last time I saw Venom actually be Venom and not just serve as a pair of subsitute legs and paramilitary costume for Flash. Please address the limited amount of times that the symbiote is supposed to be ‘worn’ before it permanently bonds with its host. I don’t care if it’s a silly explanation, but we haven’t forgotten and we know Flash has worn it too many times already, so just make something up and let’s get that out of the way. I’m not looking for Waid Daredevil kind of fun, but how about more swashbuckling action. Good luck, Cullen! I’m rootin’ for ya!

    • Hank Pym and Beast came up with a drug that keeps Venom from taking control. This happened in “Secret Avengers,” so you would have missed it if you haven’t been reading that title.
