  1. Last issue was so emotional and I’m sure this one’s going to be heart wrenching. This book’s engage on so many levels its mind blowing.

  2. Totally under-pulled comic. I hope it at least does well in trade.

  3. I was worried about the artists switch, but that was unfounded. It’s all about the writing in this book.

I’m not sure why it is so ignored- maybe it’s because comics tend to be a form of escapism, and this ain’t that.

  4. This has been one of my favorites month after month. I’m surprised it hasn’t been mentioned on the podcast.

  5. @HailScott: I think you’ve hit the nail on the head in terms of peoples perception of this.It is odd though, while it explores issues of a real country it is very much a construction and ultimately as unreal as anything in a superhero comic. Its a strange phenomenon that if superheroes and villians tear each other apart no one gets depressed about mortality but link it to real life issues and suddenly people complain its depressing.

  6. They wanna escape reality and live in a fantasy world. I really don’t blame them, but they’re missing on a great series. It was the same when Scalped started.

  7. There’s a good chance I will get this series library-binded (bound?) when it’s done.

  8. A bit of magic and dream in the eye of madness. A nightmare filled with humanity. Perfect engaging art.
