  1. Had to switch to trade due to budget. Also I think this book in particular loses a lot of momentum, month to month. If it was bi-weekly I would reconsider.

  2. more like this book gets better and better every month.

  3. Here comes the typical question:

Am I going to have to wiki this to get a lot of background for this issue? I think I put in for the next issue with my last Diamond order, but maybe I’ll start with this one if my store has it.

  4. Dunno, haven’t read it yet, but probably.

  5. I hope people are picking it up in trade

It really should have more pulls…

  6. @HailScott:

Not really, it’s more of one man’s tale within that larger context.  The singles have included some history and information written by Dysart, but I feel the story would be just fine without it.

  7. @HailScott:

I agree with Sunny, it’s not heavily drained in historical context, but the needed knowledge is always given by backups. So, you don’t have to worry.

  8. if this gets cancelled because no one is buying it i’ll be so pissed, i love this book.

  9. @yeti – yep, but I’m at the point now where I just assume all Vertigo books will be canceled before issue 25.

  10. Hey, I’m going to be double dipping a bit by going into trades so there’s no doubt of me supporting the book.

  11. Anyone else agree that this and Scalped are the best books coming from Vertigo these days?  I still like DMZ, Fables, and JoF, but these kill every month.

  12. I’d agree, of what I read I’d rank them:

    1. Scalped

    2. Unknown Soldier

    3. The Unwritten

    4. Young Liars

    5. Northlanders

  13. I’m staying with Unwritten for a few more, but honestly, I’m not really feeling it.

  14. Another spectacular issue.

  15. some one ought  to tell Dysart and Ponticelli that it comics aint suppose to be this damn good

  16. This is the best issue so far in the series, both writing and the art seems to progress as the series does.
