  1. In the words of Louie CK eating ice cream:

“Oh my God. I want to shit right in my own face.”

That means I think this will be good.

  2. The Sinister-focused last issue was great and primed what I’m hoping will be a decent standoff. Looking forward to this a lot.

Gillen needs to write a Sinister standalone series (set in Sinister’s own weird-victorian world of Sinisters).

  3. Two times they accidentally colored in the diamond on a cloned Sinister.

  4. This might be the first time in my life anyone has made Sinister interesting.

At the very least, it’s the only time in my life when I’ve said, “Oh, goody, a Sinister story!”

  5. This should have been AvX #7 – it would have continued the upsurge in quality started in AvX #6 which was ruined by Fractions awful issue. the whole AvX series should have been a 2 hander with Gillen and Hickman.

    • Which is why the architects thing is such a joke. I know it’s very subjective, but besides Hickman, none of the other guys would be in my top 5 at Marvel (Gillen, Parker, David, Remender, Hickman)

  6. Another great issue. I like that Gillen isn’t causing tension between the Phoenix Five and the Avengers, but between them and the rest of the X-Men. I’m always been one of Acuna’s biggest fans, and while it’s really hard to describe his style, I love it. I can definitely understand how someone wouldn’t really like it though.

  7. I don’t get the Greg Land hatred, I like his work and I always have; that being said, if Acuna took over this title, using this art style (more traditional pencil and ink, less painterly), that would be awesome.
