I know making fun of Ulitmate Marvel covers is about as overdone as making fun of Nickleback or Jersey Shore, but my God. This one cover is making me rethink my entire life. What horrible path have a taken that led to me being excited to buy something with that malformed abomination of proportions and colors stamped on the front?
I honestly thought this cover was a joke.

Really looking forward to this, cover aside. Spencer has definitely got some more work to do with expanding on the character relationships that were so solidified in the first vol of USM, but I’ve been very excited to see the political wrangling side of things and the action.

This has been an AWESOME first arc. Truly unique from the 616 and exciting because it’s completely unhinged. Also, it’s really interesting how–AHH!!! What the $&?! Happened to the cover!!!
(seriously though, I love what Spencer is doing with the Ultimate U’s mutants.

The last page reveal didn’t excite me at all.

I really loved the reveal at the end it had me rethink where I thought this was going. You’re right though the whole Ultimate Hawkeye integration was great.

This was great until the ending. I’m not happy with current resurrections going on. I am barely okay with this Jimmy/Wolverines son thing. But Ultimate X-Men just has too many rebirths. I mean there’s Beast, Professor X, Magneto, and now —- and apparently —– are coming back too. Fuck, why not just bring Cyclops, Wasp, Harry Osborn, and Spider-Man while we’re at it?
The Ultimate U is looking more and more like 616.
