    I think back to the first twenty-one issues of UXM. That first run blew my mind. This second go around isn’t doing that. Even with Wood at the helm. It always seems like it is about to break out and be the book that I hope it will be but it seems like it holds back or is afraid to go there. Sad to say it is the lowest rated for the three main Ultimate books.

      Keep in mind that even though Wood has been on this book for a while the Reservation X story is really his first story. This is the first story he pitched while previously he was just kind of finishing up where Spencer left off with his terrible start and then he had to finish up the crossover crap. I feel like the next few issues are really going to step it up now that he’s set up his story. Also I’d have to say the Ultimates is my least favorite of the 3.

    It’s hard to watch people make really bad decisions. This story is full of dumb people doing dumb things. I realize there is something in this story the writer is building towards, and it’s fair to argue that these are kids and this is what comes from inexperience. But seriously, the shear stupidity of the events and dialogue make it virtually impossible for me to overlook. Somebody, please pour a little artistic creativity into this book…
