  1. holy moley, an Ultimate cover that isn’t utterly terrible!

  2. Not sure what this “Divided we fall” thing is, but I really like Miles and think it’s better than the first series of USM. I just recently read it digitally and this is so much more captivating for me. I really hope this “event” doesn’t mess it up! Also, is that webbing?!

  3. Another good tie-in issue, don’t think Bendis can put a foot wrong on Ultimate Spider-man. Also VENOM STORY ARC COMING!!!!!!

  4. Yes, I say YES! Great, great moments in this.

  5. Yep, Called it. Aunt May gave him Peter’s web-shooters. Think everyone saw that coming. Another great issue. Bendis keep up the great work.

  6. I love this kid! My only (minor) complaint is I wish this book wasn’t tied to the rest of the Ultimate universe. It’s weird to see the practically post-apocalyptic US map at the beginning of the issue. But if that’s the price I have to pay to read about Miles Morales, so be it! Also – Bendis writes a great Ultimate Cap. He’s kind of a dick, but still noble.

  7. That panel where Miles first uses the webbing and there’s that’s awesome SFX in the webbing. Legendary.

  8. I <3 Ultimate Spiderman. Wowzers.

  9. Yeah I’m out. I’ve finally figured out what’s been bothering me about this book. I’m just not getting $4 worth of story. Heck I’m not sure if I’d value this at $2 worth or story. I might move to trades on this at some point but for right now my last marvel book is biting the dust.

  10. yep. still my favorite Marvel title.
glad to see the crossover isn’t effecting the story negatively. i’m also happy that there was 20 pages of solid action instead of last month’s 19 page slap in the face.

  11. So I wasn’t aware the Ultimate Peter Parker had webshooters. When did that happen? I’ve read the first 5 or so Ultimate Spider-man trades, so I never even got to Venom, and clearly didn’t get to the webshooters either.

I guess I can search the web for this (“web” pun unintended), but thought I might ask as well.

So in short, I never suspected webshooters in the box, because didn’t know there even were Ultimate webshooters.

I do enjoy this series with Miles and all his amazing friends, and don’t see myself stopping any time soon. ( <– My lame attempt to make a Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends reference.)

    • Ultimate Spider-Man had web shooters from the beginning. I don’t know how anyone could miss that. Its like in either the first or second trade.

    • Yeah he designed them after finding a formula his dad was creating for the military, some sort of adhesive for combat purposes like the kind of thing they coat a bomb in if they can’t defuse it

    • You may be confusing it with the movie. I did the same thing and lost a bet because of it. Felt pretty dumb when I found the old issue.
