  1. I just finished reading the 1st  HC trade. It was really great. This story line has been cool, but a little too long I think.

  2. Agreed on the length. It was an interesting experiment for Tom Strong, but I’m not sure if the last issue needed to exist at all. Still, loving it.

  3. I’m also in the process of re-reading the original series.  It is really noticeable after Hogan takes over for Alan Moore that the issues become much quicker reads with less actual story present.  Of course, following Alan Moore in writing anything’s not easy, and Hogan’s done a nice job with the character ever since.

  4. Hogan’s strength is investing in the characters and continuing the work of redeeming the villains like Moore did.  He’s not as wacky as Moore’s stories, but the heart is stronger than Moore’s, in my opinion.
