THE STRAIN #2 (OF 12)

As an eclipse covers New York City in midday darkness, Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his team from the Centers for Disease Control struggle to find an explanation for what happened to Flight 753. But when the symptoms don’t add up to chemical warfare, and bizarre circumstances unexplained by modern medicine arise, Ephraim begins to entertain the ramblings of a Holocaust survivor who knows too much about this unknown threat.

  1. #2? What? I did not even know that #1 came out yet!

  2. Yeah #1 was great. I read the novel and thought the comic did great justice to the opening plane scene and setting up the characters. The art is fantastic too.

  3. I was trying to decide whether to continue with the comic version or go ahead and read the novel but since it’s a month later and that novel is not in my possession… the comic version it is! Aside from sheer laziness on getting the novel, I do like the mood and tension the art is creating…

    • All three novels are out now and the first one is in paperback, nothing says you can’t read both…though I understand that reading novels takes a LOT longer, I don’t read nearly as many as I’d like.
