THE SHADOW #9

Revolutionary Part 2 (of 4)

The Shadow finds himself face to face with George Orwell smack dab in the middle of the Spanish Civil War, but his mystic powers fail to illuminate what significance this literary legend holds for the world. No time to figure that out! The Shadow’s campaign against a murderous gang of gun runners takes him on a tour of Barcelona’s underbelly where he meets the beautiful and dangerous Black Sparrow! But is he really an old friend in disguise? Pause to ponder that and you might miss the deadly dogfight over the Spanish countryside. Pack a parachute, Shadow, because you’re going to need it!

  1. Enjoyed the 1st issue of Revolutionary, hope it continues. Sales look weak.

  2. Hey, check out that cover, that’s pretty cool!

  3. Wonder if Errol Flynn makes an appearance ?

This is the book based around George Orwell’s experiences in the Spanish Civil war.

  5. Really liked Cranston’s voice and the action sequences.

  6. Yea, this is good!

  7. February’s covers for this book and Shadow Year One look dynamite (no pun intended)!

It’s a great time to be a pulp heroes fan!

  8. Picked up this and the last issue this week for something different and enjoyed them. Think i’ll stick around.

    • I did the same, as well as bought issue 7, which is a one-shot story.

Dynamite is getting a lot of my attention, taking the place of some dropped New 52 and Marvel titles in recent months.

The $3.99 prices is justified by the quality of the comics,in my mind. Heck, not sure I can say the same thing for some other $3.990 books I’ve bought.

  9. I was on the fence about getting this but when I saw the cover of him the wing of that bi- plane I had to get it . Luckily my LCS had issues 7-9. Will definitely stick around for this and I’m also looking forward to Mark Waids Green Hornet coming out soon. Dynamite is killing it! Also check out Peter Cannon Thunderbolt from Dynamite, another great book.
